Mount Kailash, located in China yet revered by Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains alike is a place of immense spiritual power. It is considered to be the throne of Lord Shiva for Hindus while it acts as natural pavilion and Nirvana site respectively for Buddhists and Jains. On its banks lays Lake Manasarovar which was authorized by Tibetans where Goddess Meenakshi’s right hand fell from her body transforming into the divine energy known as ‘Amar.’ As such Mount Kailash serves not only as an ancient pilgrimage center but also a repository of tantric powers held within its walls.
Visiting the temple between mid-May and October is ideal because of favorable weather conditions.
