Chandrakanta Mani
Inside the revered Baidyanathdham temple, there lies the sacred Chandrakanta Mani, from which a continuous stream of water flows and falls upon the Shivlinga. This divine water, known as Charanamrit, is consumed by devotees seeking relief from various ailments.
Chandrakup Well
Adjacent to the temple’s main entrance is the Chandra kup (Well), constructed in 1702 by Sardar Panda Chandramani Ojha upon the counsel of Saint Sanyasi Kevat Ram. If one lacks Ganga Jal (holy water from the Ganges) to offer to Lord Shiva, the water from this well can be used as a worthy substitute to perform the sacred ritual.
PanchShul
An intriguing feature of this temple is the presence of ‘Panchshul’ (five tridents) atop its sanctum, unlike the traditional ‘Trishul’ (three tridents) found in other temples worldwide. The ‘Panchshul’ is believed to serve as a protective shield against natural calamities, rendering the temple a place of great sanctity and veneration.
